      <link>https://devisu.inha.fr/histoiredelart/102</link>
The years following the end of the Second World War saw an increase in the number of competitions for the reconstruction of the Soviet Union’s destroyed cities. In Kyiv, a city badly damaged by the fighting, this reconstruction was the object of a competition with a strongly ideological dimension, with the central power taking care to prevent any embodiment of a Ukrainian specificity in the construction projects. This article examines this intertwining of historical, aesthetic, and political questions. </description>
