      <link>https://devisu.inha.fr/histoiredelart/104</link>
Ukraine constitutes a gap in the field of Western art history. To understand the reasons for this, this article provides a systematic review of German- and Polish-speaking research in recent decades. It highlights the evolution in the way in which this cultural and geographical space has been perceived over the 20th and 21st centuries and their political developments. Beyond this observation, it is a call to renew how a complete section of the history of art is considered. </description>
