Ces œuvres reflètent des processus collectifs d’émancipation en construisant une image du corps défiant. La stratégie de sursexualisation, souvent obtenue par le « gender-bending » et par des éléments pornographiques, est explorée en relation avec les processus collectifs de libération sexuelle et nationale et la volonté de tester les limites des libertés postsoviétiques. Les œuvres analysées témoignent de la dynamique d’émancipation ukrainienne au cours des trois dernières décennies. The article analyzes four video works produced in the 1990s and in 2020: Sleeping Princess in a Glass Coffin (1992) by Oleksandr. Hnylytsky, Voices of Love (1994) by Arsen Savadov and Georgy Senchenko, Non-Binary (2020) by Yana Bachynska, and The Main Fortress of Sich (2020) by Eugen Korshunov. These artworks reflect collective processes of emancipation by constructing an image of the defiant body. The strategy of over-sexualization, often achieved through “gender-bending” and elements of pornography, are explored in relation to collective processes of sexual and national liberation and the desire to test the limits of post-Soviet freedoms.
